Black Cat
There is a black cat there
Crossing over peoples lawns
Preparing to scare
Better watch out or you will be in the air
So don’t go over there by the cat

Hero Inside
Jim Hinchey
I have a hero that’s not hard to find
He’s always here, right in my mind
But if you and I search for him, we won’t be able to see
My hero is standing inside, my hero is me

He doesn’t wear a cape, tights or spandex
He wears nothing silly you see
My hero wears my hopes, my dreams, my aspirations
And everything I want to be

I see him every night, right on cue in my dreams
He fly’s here and there showing me all sorts of things
So much is waiting, where do I begin?
Moving towards my dreams, bringing the hero from within

Powers or not, my hero’s all I got
Everything I want in every possible way
Continue to dream big and work hard
I’ll wake as him one day

October Memories
October has come
Pumpkin pie waters your mouth
Costumes of all kind

Door to door, searching
Bags are full of surprises
Candy at its best

Streets are filled with kids
Witches and ghosts here and there
                        Trick or treat and scare

The man in black
By: Ayden Kelly
It was a dark October night
The cats were out and sneaking
The girl ran down the street
She was running out of energy
A man in black was behind
She had to get home
She knew a shortcut,
She ran through the cemetery
As she ran her shoe became lost
Then she tripped
The man walked slowly toward her
She begged for him to let her go
“I finally got you!” he said
He held out a knife
Soon the knife had blood on it
The man turned and saw a boy watching
The boy looked horrified
He turned and ran
“NO!!” the man in black yelled!

How do you know what I go through, do you play with the shadows? Do you live your life in darkness? I have, because we have never truly lived, for I have never really been alive. I am what humans refer to as a demon, though, you humans, cannot begin to comprehend the amount of darkness that surrounds my soul. All humans are foolish; they fear what is unknown to them… and what is known to them, they fear not. These creatures cause themselves more pain than we demons ever have.  What humans should fear most is themselves. As we wonder this world, never truly belonging, we lost sight of the good things and good values in this world, leaving us with only a heart that is more dark and deadly than ever known to any other being.
